3 year old and potty training

My 3 year old is in underwear during the day but diapers at night. He has never been cloth diapered. We are almost out of disposables and I really don't want to buy more! We bough BG 4.0 OS for LO on the way, so I'm wondering if I can use these on him or will they be too small? Also, just got hemp inserts in the mail so I obviously need to prep those. Lets say the BG fit DS... Would a hemp insert and a microfiber insert in the pocket suffice? He usually only pees once at most at night. I just would hate to buy more sposies when he is so close to not even needing night time diapers! What a waste!

We tried size medium fuzzi bunz and he leaked. Not sure if it was because they were too small, not prepped properly or what....

Try it on. My two and half year old won't.fit any one size pockets we own. We have size large fuzzibunz and they work great. I stuff with a hemp prefold and a hemp Iinsert. If he's not a heavy wetter you'd prob be ok with an mf and hemp. Good luck.

Its seriously all about the shape of the child. My 3.5 yr old is in cloth at night now and we use BG4.0 or Kawaii Heavy wetter

We do 2 bamboo and 1 Joey Bunz premium hemp overnight for DD2. She is 2y10m, 39" and 34.5 lbs. We use mainly Kawaii overnight. The Alvas I have just barely fit at this point. We just started cloth back in January. DD2 was 32.5 lbs then, and the BG OS were too tight in the thighs for her. The waist was fine, but she complained about the legs.
