Spotting at 28 weeks..

Blah.  So, I've been intermittently spotting for a few days now.  I had taken DS to the zoo on Saturday and had worn him on my back for a good 4+ hours.. I wasn't sore at all during our trip, but once I took him off I realized I had probably overdone it.  The first bit of spotting started on Sunday night.. and then I was fine all day Monday, so I didn't think much of it.. but, then I had some more Monday night and then a little bit still first thing this morning.  Haven't had any since 7:30am, but I did put a call into the OB and she has me going to MFM for an ultrasound just to "check" and see if we can see where the spotting is coming from.

Hoping it's nothing -- and, I'm pretty sure it's probably just that DS weighs a TON and I need to stop carrying him so much (he's 23lbs!!), but any good thoughts are always appreciated

Thanks guys!  Cervix looked good -- 3.7cm!  It's decreased almost 2cm since I was there 3 weeks ago, but doc isn't concerned at all.  Also said placenta looks good -- they were checking for placenta previa or abruption.  Basically she just said to take it easy.. try not to carry around DS as much.. and if the spotting continues or worsens to contact the OB again.  I have my next OB appointment Wed of next week, so I can discuss it further then if its still intermittent. 

Oh, and baby is measuring huge!  Already predicted at 3lbs!  DS always measured really big, too -- but, was born at 7-9 at 38w, so not quite as big as they were telling me -- they predicted he'd be 8.5lbs, as they were thinking 40w he'd be closer to 10lbs! Anyway, I think the spotting is just a combination of big baby.. active Momma.. and heavy LO at home

Glad I went though.. the peace of mind is worth every penny!

Getting caught up on all the posts this week!  I'm so glad that everything looks good.  Spotting is scary stuff.  Whew!!!  Hope everything continues to look great!
