I am not getting my hopes up but...

DS2 slept from 10:00 until 4:30, woke up and ate 2 oz, then went back to sleep and is only just now waking up. He is 9 weeks old tomorrow. I lovw thathw slept but it is always so scary the first time they do it! He has been eating every three hours around the clock since birth so this took me completely by surprise!

  • That is awesome--hope this happens more and you feel rested.

I am, however, incredibly jealous of you.  My son did not really do this until well after 9 months.  Finally really slept through the night at 14 months.

    Enjoy your sleep!!Sleep

  • Awesome!

DD was always a great sleeper for us, but I can related to being a little freaked out in the beginning.  Like, we would poke her with a stick.

  • That's great and I hope it lasts for you. DS was sleeping through the night and then stopped when he got sick. He then started teething and had 2 break through within a week of each other. He is still waking up around 2:30 am to nurse, which is better than the every 2 or 3 hours he was doing.

  • That's awesome. I hope he keeps it up. DS STTN for 2 nights when he was two months old and I didn't sleep because I was nervous that he hadn't woken at all. Then he didn't STTN again until like 10 months. lol

This was me last night with DD#2 - which is silly because I should be used to babies sleeping since DD#1 STTN early.  But since DD#2 just had her first round of vaccines, I was more nervous than I should be.
