First Back Day At Work Today

Mobile: First Back Day At Work Today

Special S/O to the moms who had to go back to work today! I am sure we can all use some TLC!

How was your first day back? Share the good, bad, and the ugly or weird experiences you had today and hugs to all!


Here are mine:

Bad: I went back today and must have cried at least 5 times, including 2 at DC and 2 at the office. I work in a tech company with an open office layout so I got to cry in front of a bunch of young dudes. Bleh.

Good: My boss felt really sorry for me see above and gave me permission to run over to DC during my break and to call the DC as often as I wanted which was a huge relief.

Weird: Decided to stash my pump parts/bottles in one of the veggie trays at the bottom of the company fridge so no one would see them. Hoping we will come up with a better storage plan.

ETA: SO to BabyHannah2013! I know you were stressed about this how are you feeling?

    Hi! Oh boy was I stressed! I went back yesterday and cried hysterically as soon as I pulled out of my garage. Then when I finally complied myself, someone at work asked me about my baby and I almost lost it again! Luckily, I work with mostly older moms so they all understood my pain. Today feels easier and I'm confident it will get easier with each day. Leaving baby to go to work is not an easy task!

    Thanks! Today was easier although almost cried when I had to leave DD at DC. She seems to like it but is coming home super exhausted though!

    Awhh, I'm right there with you. It is very hard but it does get better. Yesterday I felt so strong but today I lost it again as I left my home in the morning. I have cried throughout the day, especially when people asked me about my baby. It does make it easier for me knowing that I found the best nanny ever! This is a huge sacrafice financially but it is so worth it. Keep in touch and lets keep tabs on each other !
