I feel stupid asking this question but this IF ride has been frustrating and hard for me to handle. Without what I learned from you guys, I would really be dumb on this but I worry that I am letting emotion and worry over my age get in the way of bring smart.
I think I need a new RE. I was referred to the one I currently am seeing and have actually seen two different ones in the practice. He wanted to do unmonitored chlomid originally but because of y'all I insisted on baseline ultrasounds and mid cycle monitoring. However it seems like neither re was concerned that I had a cyst at the beginning of both cycles. But I read threads on here where people are benched because of a cyst.
It's really hard to basically question the expertise of the doctors I am seeing but I am worried about their lax attitude. I also had life just blow up and get crazy and I could not get in for this months mid cycle monitoring and so obviously did not do an IUI. Now I am worried because I did not get the ultrasound that I have no idea what's going on. I also have a biopsy scheduled Friday to worry about and I think I just need to find a new Re but how do you find one? I can't afford to have all of the tests a second time and I hear the clock ticking and its running out.
So I feel like I am wasting time waffling about this on top of wasting this cycle because work was just too crazy. Plus all these meds are making me crazy and DH and I have been arguing so much over all of it. I am utterly depressed and thinking of just throwing in the towel.

Re: WWYD?
Deep breath.
I had a similar situation happen to me. I waited 2 months to get in to see my first RE only to have her recommend unmonitored Clomid+IUI. Every time I tried to question her about monitoring she just would say that it wasn't necessary. I felt terrible after meeting with her. I had to talk my OB/GYN into doing monitoring when I did a Clomid+ IUI cycle with him and now I was going to have to talk her into monitoring, why was I even seeing an RE?
That's when I decided to find a new doctor and it was the best decision I made. I did some research online reading reviews, checking out websites for REs, and had my sister ask some of her nurse friends for recs. I ended up finding a RE that both DH and I love and trust.
GL, I hope that you find the right doc for you.

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
I'm so so sorry for all that you are worried about right now. First good luck with the biopsy friday. Fingers crossed for great results with that.
Second, it never hurts to get a second opinion. Don't cut ties with your current place yet, but just go have a consult with a different RE and see how it "feels". They may not have all your test results at that time but you can talk with them about what you've done already and what their normal monitoring is like...etc. Then if you like them ask if you could have all your records faxed over and not have to repeat all the testing. I did initial testing with my OBGNY, then found an RE, temporarily tried out another RE, then returned to the first RE all with never having to repeat (or repay) for any initial testing so it can certainly be done. I flat out told the first RE's office I was getting a second opinion and they faxed over my whole file to the second RE I met with. Even if you decide to stay where you are it may make you feel better that you at least checked out another place before proceeding. Depending on how long it takes to get in with the new place you may only be skipping one cycle, but you could ultimately get much better care.
It is a tough decision, and I wish you the best of luck trying to decide what's right for you.
