Challenges this week? Milestones? Funny stories?

GTKY: Asked this earlier today of a PAL mama on FB and thought it would be fun to ask here. What was your first kiss?

Challenges: keeping DD happy and occupied when I'm trying to give a 3-year-old the attention he needs, plus work and manage a household.  DD is getting more active, grabs things well and puts things in her mouth.  She is nearly about to roll over from back to front...she's able to turn on her side but not all the way to her stomach yet.

GTKY: my first kiss was with DH! I did not have any boyfriends until I met him my first year in college. And we were plastered. It was a sloppy and wet make-out session.  Not how I wanted my first kiss to go.  SMH.

Challenges : sleep, as usual. 30 minutes naps all day long. I thought night time was getting better as we just went to visit my sister in VA. He slept great only waking once to eat. I even heard him self soothe himself back to sleep a couple of times (which he never does, hence the 30 minute naps). We got back yesterday and his regular sleep habits are back in full force. I was up on and off from 1 o'clock on. Just not sure what to do...he's not hungry and usually only wants to eat once when he wakes up. He just cannot self soothe yet but he's still to young for sleep training so we're at a stand still. Any suggestions?

Milestones: DS is so active! He's always trying to move and loves to roll stomach to back. He is almost there with the back to stomach as he gets up on his side and isthisclose. He is also loves listening to everyone talk. If we're in a big group his eyes will turn to the speaker every time. Its like he wants to participate in the conversation  and loves making his own noises.

I wouldn't say we have any serious challenges this week. Hooray! No milestones, either... still waiting on some serious babbling, and crawling. She's starting smacking her face into the floor *trying* to go forward, so I guess that's progress? Teary progress.

As for funny stories, I got DD a little piano that has four keys and four little xylophone tiles on top. Not satisfied with having to sound one note at a time, she flipped it over and proceeded to bang on it so the keys would depress and the xylophone tiles would beat against the floor. Every time I turn it rightside up she flips it over again. She's a budding musician, alright.

GTKY: My first kiss was the summer before my senior year of school, just a few months shy of my eighteenth birthday. Just some kid I worked with who I had no business going on a date with, and who was classy enough to slip me the tongue. It was so anti-climactic that I went inside and chuckled to myself, thinking, that's what I've been waiting for?

Challenges this week?-For the past few weeks DS has been waking up at 5am when he used to sleep until 7-8am.  Nothing in his bedtime routine has changed but he is alot more active and on the verge of crawling so maybe that's it?

Milestones? Idk if this is a milestone but we are officially down to two naps as of yesterday and DS is getting himself on all 4's and rocking.  He's almost crawling!  Also DS drank from a sippy cup today all on his own and he has mastered his pincer grip.  He picked up several puffs today with this pointer and thumb and put it in his mouth without dropping anything.  I was such a proud mama.

Funny stories?  DS was in his pack n' play laughing hysterically.  I walk over to see what's going on and he's looking through the side of the PnP watching the dogs play and thought it was the funniest thing.

GTKY:  What was your first kiss?

It's not romantic at all.   We were in my grandmothers backyard playing a game of truth or dare. I was 10 and my friend dared me to kiss the boy who lived next door that I secretly had a crush on.

Challenges: We are trying to build up a tolerance for tummy time. He is doing better, but mostly just lays there tooting! 

Milestones: Nolan is 2 months old as of yesterday! I can't believe how quickly time is passing!

Funny Stories: We were getting pictures taken yesterday and Nolan was being a little fussy. All of a sudden we heard as he got some relief. DH went to change him while we did some individual pics of DS1 for his birthday. All of a sudden I heard DS2 go some more and DH yelling. I walked in and DS had pooped everywhere! Fortunately DH managed to save the outfit, but it took both of us to clean it all up!

GTKY: My first kiss was in 7th grade with a kid I had a little crush on. We were at a school dance and he kissed me after a slow dance.

Hi all! It's my first check in here I have 4 month old b/g twins for mobile users.

Challenges:  Middle of the night feedings at 1am and 4am and a DH who works 16 hours a day and can't help very much

Milestones: They are starting to notice each other and smile at each other and it's so adorable. My DD finally started babbling and cooing while her brother has been doing it since 2 months. They are batting at, kicking and grabbing their toys. DD did a fireman's crawl about 2 feet forward but that is because she hates tummy time that much, lol. DD started sucking her thumb and DS is working on it.

Funny stories: Just the amount of farting my babies do. Friends and family are always shocked. Anyone else have gassy babies?

GTKY: On the back of the late bus in 8th grade with Rocky. He was my bf for exactly 1 hour. "Hey Mr. DJ" was playing on the radio.  The I got dumped 3 days later because I didn't want to take it any further. Jerk.

Challenges: Naps. Naps have been awful this past week. Now that I'm a SAHM (woo hoo!) I'm trying to break some of the bad habits she got from MIL. One of which is needing to be held durring naps. I'll nurse her and she'll fall asleep, I'll lay her down in her crib and she'll sleep for 5-10 mins. Then she'll wake up crying and be wide a wake. There's no getting her back to sleep after that. I thought we had made a break through yesterday because she slept for a whole 30 mins in her crib by herself (!!!), but today we're back to the 5 mins. *sigh*

Milestone: Well first, I quit my job and am now a SAHM!! So freaking excited about this! I'm loving it! Second, DD is now cruising! She's getting really good at walking around with the furniture. Still not really crawling, but she can get all the way from her belly to sitting position.

GTKY: My first kiss was when I was 15 at a local theem park where I grew up. They have this ride called The Waky Shack and it's one of those haunted house ride though deals. Well, me and my "boyfriend" rode it together and I was so scared the whole time because I knew he was going to try to kiss me lol. Right before the ride was over, he tried and he missed! He kissed my nose...it was very awkward. Then he quickly kissed me on the lips. So not what I wanted for my first kiss.

I'd like to check in! I've clearly missed it the last several weeks.

DD will be 7 weeks on Thursday for those who can't see my ticker.

Challenges: It's getting better, but I'm still having quite a bit of nipple pain. I saw an LC who helped me with my positioning, but it's hard to break the bad habits we started.

Milestones: Smiling. And lots of babbles and coos. She's just irresistable when she's doing both!

Funny stories: She is starting to touch our dog when he approaches. He's such a little nurse to her - I can't wait to see them grow up together.

GTKY: My first kiss was between 6th and 7th grade with my boyfriend at the duck pond. Closed mouth and super awkward. I don't think we said anything to each other the rest of the day!
