ok girls. I have had an eating disorder since I was 12. Since I have found out I am pregnant, I may have not been eating as much as I should. Well this morning I woke up with ful intentions of going running and eating what I usually do, when i grabbed some "bad" food and couldn't stop. I ate around 3,000 calories! I am talking ice cream, frosting, pasta....agghhhhh I hate myself right now How should I eat the rest of the day and end this cycle? I can't even run as far anymore to burn it off.
I do not have experience with eating disorders but I would suggest meeting with a professional to help you manage it. If you are pregnant, your health is extremely important to both you and your baby. They can help you navigate through it all so that you make good choices for yourself and for your future child. Your habits will effect your LO even if you think you can control it. Children learn so many things just by what we say and how we act.
As for today, I would continue to eat normally. Choose healthy and satisfying meals. Just because you overate, do not avoid eating to "make up for it". It will only cause you to binge at a later time. Don't wait for tomorrow to start over, start now!
Good luck I know it must be very hard. Please contact your insurance to see what kind of help is covered for you.
