Miles or Nolan???

We are having our baby this week and still on the fence about names, down to Miles or Nolan. Our last name sounds like Jans, MN will be Howard after my grandfather. Please help me decide!

 1.) Miles Howard Jans

2.) Nolan Howard Jans

Factors to consider are - which sounds better overall, which sounds better with DD's name (Eloise), which (if either) are super popular?

I'd go with Nolan. The only one I know is 30. Miles on the other hand is being used all the time right now. I know several and see it on here quite a bit.

LOVE Miles, but not sure it will go with your last name because of the "s" endings. Doesn't sound right to me.

Nolan isn't a bad choice, either. 

Have you considered Milo?

I'm a fan of Nolan (DS's name), but to me it doesn't have the same feel as Eloise. Miles is a bit closer, but it doesn't flow well IMO with the "s" sound at the end of your last name.

LOVE Miles, and it sounds good with your daughter's name. Don't particularly like Nolan, if only because I know a kid named Nolan and he's an absolute twerp.

I also really like Howard, which is a name you never hear any more.

I love both names...DS1 is Nolan and DS2 is Miles, lol.  But I prefer Nolan with your last name.

I like both options quite a lot. But I do think Nolan goes better with your last name. Both of them will work fine in a sibset with Eloise, though neither has quite the same feel (Eloise feels a bit more formal, whereas Miles and Nolan both seem very casual-- but not a big enough deal to really matter for the decision making process).
