I need some recomendations for some good quality reusable grocery bags that are fairly inexpensive. I have found a few options on Amazon, but I wanted to get some opinions on it here and not just go by the reviews on Amazon.
My trader joe bags are the best, they aren't insulated or anything but they've got a flat bottom and can just be wiped out, have a strong handle and are a good size. I prefer them to the canvas kind I have.
Sadly we have no Trader Joe's in the state. There is apparently one coming to a city about 45 minutes away, but not there yet. We never have anything cool!
If you have one in your area, Publix sells them for 99 cents in all their stores. From what I understand they're selling them at less than cost to encourage people to use them.
I think the Envirosax ones are really cute, but I haven't been able to justify the cost.
I got these Envirosax bags for my best friend years ago and she loves them and uses them all the time. I love how they roll up small and are easy to pack up.
I have these Whole Foods bags and even though they're big and not small and portable like the Envirosax bags, I like that they have a flat bottom and you can really pack them full of groceries. I can do a big shopping trip and only need 3 or 4 bags.
Unfortunately, the closest Publix is about 140 miles away. And dude, those Envirosax look good, but so expensive! I'd rather just buy the ones from amazon that are $12.50 for 10.

I love these because they wash easily, are really durable, and work for a lot of other stuff beside groceries. Only complaint would be they're not as "square" as some bags (especially after they're washed they are very soft, not structured). But I feel like in situations where I'm not the one bagging my groceries it keeps the checkout person from over-filling the bags, which happened a lot to me when I have used more "square" bags in the past.
We used these for our welcome bags at our wedding, so we ended up with a ton left over. I like them because they fold up into that nice small baggy, but I don't like them because they aren't really good for carrying on your shoulder.
ETA: But they are durable and easy to clean. So there are probably more pros than cons. And most of you are probably not transporting your groceries home on a bus like me, so you probably don't need to have them on your shoulder.
I have insulated ones from Wegmans that I love for the cold items, non insulated ones from Weis and Target, and one giant one from The Christmas Tree Shoppe that I use for light bulk items like toilet paper and paper towels.

I love that those have carabiners! I could attach them to my purse strap!

This. And Target will give you five cents off per bag if you use them at their store. Doesn't matter whose bag, either. They end up paying for themselves after a while.
I bought a really sturdy yet compact set of 5 bags from reusablebags.com. They have a lot of options and regularly have good sales. Lots of other reusable items there as well!
I love my Home Depot ones. They clip to the cart and are nice and big. I just checked online to provide the link and it says they are discontinued Maybe call your local store to see if they still have any. They had great reviews, no clue why they discontinued them.
I like the canvas kind you can throw in the laundry. Our local stores sell them for $0.99 to $2.49 for the larger ones. Non-washable bags for groceries kind of give me the willies.
promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
I think this jute one from amazon is the same as the ones I have. I bought them a while ago. I like the square shape, size and sturdiness. I use mine a lot at the market and they hold up well under the weight of the produce. They have washed well also.

Oh, I've seen those before! They are super cute! I just wish they were a little cheaper!
Those look like a good option too! And they are more square than the other ones that I was looking at.

Zoe wants to get the kelly green ones.
Mine come from Sobey's in Canada. I know that won't help unless you're taking a trip up north, though. :P
Walmart used to sell a decent one but I haven't seen them lately and I'm not sure how the quality of the ones they have now is.
