I just discovered on my way to work that my favorite coffee shop is within walking distance. I was excited because I got up late and didnt have time for a cup of coffee.
Then I remembered I have three kids, and only a double stroller, and I forgot my Ergo. Gator can't be trusted walking by the busy street, especially during the age of "if you try and hold my hand I will throw the biggest hissy fit known to man...and then run screaming from you like you are trying to kidnap me". I have two bases for the babies carseats, but putting two 4 month olds and a 18 month old in the car just to go 3 short blocks feels like too much work.
I wish they delivered....I would have them on speed dial....
Re: FWP
Landscape plastic!
I'm redoing flower beds and they put down at least 4 layers of plastic with rock between the layers. Grr!
What are you putting down once you've torn up the plastic? I'm going to redo ours as well, but you know my free thumb shortcomings.
I have a bunch of them:
LBB has been waking up insanely early lately. Including on the weekends. I tried to be nice Saturday morning and let DH sleep, so I got up with LBB and we walked the dog and headed out to get DH coffee. I drove to this little French place that does amazing coffee and even more amazing croissants, figuring they'd be open early for breakfast. They weren't. So we had to go to Coffee Bean.
DH went and took my car to get washed/cleaned on Saturday. So of course it's been raining since Sunday.
My mom brought us bagels from her trip to NYC....and I forgot to pick up cream cheese at the store.
I ran out of grand mariner and had to make our margaritas last night with triple sec.
I'm still shopping for a decent swimsuit. I have an odd distain for halter tops, so pickins are slim. I'd rather just order a crossback or racerback suit online, but the skinny azz models make it difficult. I wish they had a more "realistic" person to demonstrate how the bikini might look next to stretch marks and cellulite.
I should really be a spokesperson for Mod Cloth, but seriously, look into their suits. They show ladies that aren't model size in their suits. If you read the reviews, too, women place their height, size, and build and how the outfit/swimsuit/whathaveyou fits their body type. It's really helpful when you aren't 5'10" and 125 lbs.
The one bed I am going to pour stamp concrete and it is going to be a sidewalk up to our front door.
The second bed I'm getting down to the dirt removing all the rock and then going to till in garden blend soil and replant my hostas and a couple other shade perennials and put in impatients and bleeding hearts. (my whole yard is shade) I am them just going to put down wood chips.
The next bed swoops down under two big trees. I'm going to try to remove as much plastic as I can leave the rocks. I'm going to cover the rocks with garden blend plant shade loving ground covers, mixed in with hostas that are already there.
It just sucks because they have a layer of rock then plastic and another layer of rock and so on...I have to remove most of this by hand. Yesterday was 13 wheel barrels full and I only have one bed half way done.
