New & have questions with IB

Good Morning Everyone!   I am new to this site and I am hoping someone can help me out with some questions I have.  I was due to get my period on April 2nd.  Never did get my period at all that month.  I took numerous test to only see the BFN.  I called my Dr and he said it could possibly be from antibiotics I was on and not to worry.  (i was on the pill)  So I never did start back up on the pill, because I was too afraid to.  I had never missed a period in my life before even being on antibiotics.  I didn't want to take a chance of actually being pregnant and starting the pill and find out I was.    Later in the month of April I started cramping bad, my friend told me that i was probably ovulating.  I took one of those ovulation test and it showed positive for me ovulating.  Well that was on a Friday (4/19).  Now I did have sex that weekend and no protection.  I was due I think to get my period on Tuesday (4/30) No sign of it at all.  Went to Dr. Wed mid afternoon and had a blood test.  Late Wednesday when I went to the bathroom I wiped with tp and saw only brownish on the toilet paper.  Didn't have to wear anything at all.  Next morning, same thing didn't wear anything.  Went to school that evening and put a tampon in only because I have to wear a white uniform.  Same thing only tad bit of some pink the rest was brown/dark brown but not a lot.  Friday and Sat nothing really at all.  Blood test results came back Negative.  Now at this point I am 17dpo according to the ovulation test I took.  I had a little more brown spotting Sunday evening when I wiped with tp and this morning.  Is it possible that this is IB and that is why the blood test showed the test to be Negative?  Could it be I was possibly implanting on the day I had the blood test which was (12dpo)?  Any help would be appreciated.  I am now 17dpo should I take another test?   Thanks

If it's implantation bleeding (which is rare), your test may turn out negative.

My hunch is that you had a random anovulatory cycle and your body is catching up. Def take another test and see what happens

 I am going to wait and take a test on Friday again.  I stopped spotting few the rest of Monday and Tuesday and now when I wipped again today it was a little brownish again.. THis is crazy!!!

Ovulation tests only show that your body is gearing up to ovulate, not that it actually does.  Like the previous poster said, IB is very rare and the only way to know you've had it is after the fact.  It sounds like your body is adjusting to coming off birth control and you've had several days of spotting.  It's likely nothing more than that.
