Terrible Cold

My poor five month old has caught my cold!  Her little nose is running nonstop!  What can I do for her?  I woke up over and over again last night because her little nose was stopped up, and she was crying because she couldn't suck her paci and breath at the same time.

Any ideas?

DS has had a cold as well.  We've been using a humidifier in his room to help break up some of his snottiness.

Buy saline drops and put a few drops up babys nose, then use the nasal aspirator to suck the junk out.  My daughter has a cold and that worked well for us.

My LO had a bad cold around 3 months and I put him in the bathroom and sat there with the door shut while the hot water ran. That really loosened up the congestion and then I was able to help suck it out with the aspirator.

Thanks ladies!  I feel terrible not being able to help her very much.  Hopefully, she will have a better day today.

DD had a cold at 3 weeks. It was horrible! Agree with everyone who said humidifier. That helps a bunch! Also spent lots of time in the bathroom with the shower running for steam. The saline spray made for babies is easier than getting saline drops and a nasal aspirator is a must. Also, elevate the crib to help drain your LO's nose. Hope she gets better soon!

My 3 month old is fighting a cold. I'm using saline drips, cold mist humidifier, and Maty's Baby Chest Rub. I also rolled up a large towel and placed it under his crib mattress to elevate his head. This way his nose drains. Last night he slept much better.
