Anyone start Estrace the cycle before IVF?

Hi, ladies! 

I'm supposed to start Estrace on 5/13, and call my RE's office when I get my period, so we can schedule baseline testing and get things moving again for IVF attempt #2.  Does anyone know if Estrace is ok to start if there's a chance I'm pregnant?  I realize the chances are pretty slim, given that it's been over two and a half years trying, and all other attempts have failed, but... DH and I have been getting busy the last few days (after a long draught due to me not feeling great when I was doing injections, feeling gross doing the progesterone suppositories, several days of AF visiting and all 3 of us coming down with strep) and it's prime-time for baby-making.  RE's office didn't tell us not to try this month, so I'm thinking it's ok, but maybe I should call to be sure.

DD conceived naturally in 2009.  TTC #2 since August 2010.  Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.

    I would assume it is ok just because I am still taking estrace after my BFP from my FET cycle.  Surely it won't hurt!  But, who knows.  Wouldn't hurt to ask!  :)
    TTC #3 (#1 for DH) since September 2011. DX: Unexplained infertility with possible cervical factor. May 2012 did clomid with IUI - BFN August 2012 IUI #2 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN September 2012 IUI #3 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN October 2012 IUI #4 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN November/December 2012 IVF/ICSI #1 Retrieved 12 eggs, 8 fertilized. Transferred 1 beautiful embryo and 5 made it to freeze. Got my BFP! January 2013 u/s showed empty gestational sac. FET cycle April 2013.  Transferred 2 5 day embryos.  BFP!!!!!  2 heartbeats!!!!  EDD:  12/27/13

    Estrace is safe with pregnancy so you should be fine.  I am doing a testosterone priming so I am taking Estrace, progesterone, BCPs and Androgel for 3 weeks before starting stims.  It sounds like your doctor may be doing an estrogen priming cycle.

    I took estrace while waiting on the results of an IUI the cycle before going to IVF.   Then took it for a little while after my BFP....so definitely think it's safe.

    best of luck with this cycle...I'm rooting for you!
