....this is totally normal right?  I obviously don't encourage it, but I also don't reach my finger into his mouth to fish it out if he eats it before I can stop it.  The good news is that I buy expensive and fancy dog food b/c of my high maintenance dog with a sensitive stomach.  Gluten free and only all natural ingredients.  Still...Mother of the year?

Wes does not partake in this delicacy, only because my dogs are heathens and devour their food within seconds.

Our old neighbors' daughter was quite the connoisseur of kibble, however. Her pedi told her not to sweat it. Just protein.

She actually laps water from the water dish, but the food like HA is gone too soon to be touched.  Gross.

Yeah, he splashes in the water bowl too...oh well, these will just make for funny stories to humiliate him with later in life.

G used to eat it, and then he learned how much fun it is to hand feed Jimmy his food piece by piece. He gets very upset when Jimmy doesn't want his food, though. Too bad so sad.

Lol, this is actually how it all started-he feeds Logan the food piece by piece...but it's more like five for you, one for me, five for you, one for me.  Logan still eats R's food too though.  I should just be happy they get along so well!

That's cute! I wish my dog liked my kids. Poor Ez thinks they are besties and constantly tries to include him. He'll stand right in his face and go "mon! mon!" (c'mon) but he just completely ignores him.

Luckily we also had a high maintenance dog on very expensive food so I wasn't too worried about it. Now we don't have a dog. Sad

Salmonella is what I would be concerned about. Alastair has not eating dog food in a while, however, he likes feeding Shadow and just tonight he was faster than I and more or less took a bath in her water dish. Good times.

I let the kids lock each in other the crate. Im pretty sure most kids at some point have eaten dog food. At least it wasn't dog poop!

This is us too.  Except by "upset" I mean LBB first starts throwing the food all over the floor, or moving all of the dogfood from the bowl into the water dish.  "You mean you don't want it?  Fine.  You can't have it. EVER."

E must be a weirdo.. Our dog drops his food all over the floor when he eats and doesn't pick it up. E gets irrationally mad at him and yells at me to pick it up.

G loves to eat the dogs' food and thinks their water bowls are for water play.

We don't have dogs, but DD loves kitty cookies. She helps feed them by offering them one piece at a time. They just run away and get her mad. She tried to eat it when she was younger, but I don't think she liked it and hasn't tried it since. If I could keep her out of their water bowl, that would be great.
