Progesterone question (also posted on IF board)

Hello, 

I just had my nurse call me with some not too good news and I have a question. I just had FET yesterday and the nurse told me my progesterone is low at 13. They want it at 20 and more. They increased my doze for the shots I am doing, and I get tested on Tuesday again, but I am worried that it will mess up my chances with a possitive test.

Any inside into this is really helpful!

By no means am I an expert, but I think the reason for the concern with lower prog levels would be that it is needed to help keep the pregancy going.  We got pg with #2 back in Dec of 2010 and then had it end in a cp.  I was told my progesterone was extremely low.  From what i've read, the prog helps keep the fertilized egg attached and snuggled in   Sounds like they are monitering you closely though, so as long as you are taking supplements I would think that woudl help.   My RE has us start on supplements 3 days post IUI as a precaution and if we are lucky this cycle will stay on them through the first tri. From other posts I've seen I think this is pretty common.  Good luck and hoping you get good news on the 15th!

I wouldn't worry. The IM shots get into your system pretty quickly. I've heard of ppl getting pg with it lower. My friend's was an 8 after her FET with twins. They just upped her dose, watched it carefully, and she was just fine.
