Nurseries and Baby Gear

Show me Team Green nurseries!

We're Team Green and I need nursery inspiration, I have no idea where to begin.  It took me my whole pregnancy to design and implement DD's nursery, so I better get moving. Any good websites you've seen? Would you share your own Team Green nursery pics?

  • Pinterest! I like gray and yellow for neutral.

  • We did this painting scheme, but the blue is yellow.  We love it!

We think we've decided on a pale blue room with white accents.  We already have a grey room in our house and DH doesn't want 2 grey rooms even though I'd  OK with it. I really want a nautical theme but the husband thinks it's not gender neutral.  I really wish my spouse wasn't into decorating!

I agree - Pinterest really helped me get thinking.

  • Just posted ours with PIPs above...We went with an orange and lime green safari-themed nursery based on colors my mother selected for a quilt she made.

Our colors are aqua, lime, coral and navy.  We love color and it looks great. No pics on hand though!

  • I'm planning a "bring the outdoors in"  kind of theme.   The walls will be painted a sky blue (perhaps even with painted clouds or stuffed puffy clouds hung from the ceiling)  The furniture is natural and accented with greenery (faux tree, a handmade artists wood print of a rabbit, woodland themed items that are more natural vs. too cutesy)

Went with neutral beige and sage sheets, and changing pad covers.

I'm planning on making my own mobile with sticks and natural materials (maybe either butterflies or birds hanging from the branches)

I hit up TJ Maxx and found some restoration hardware style stuff at a fraction of the cost that had that rustic metal look such as an ABC wall box hanging and a metal bucket which will make a great diaper storage / laundry bucket.

I'm thinking of hanging my own actual nature photographs too.
