My sister is pregnant and I want to get her a Beco, because mine is my favorite thing ever!  Looking online, is the Gemini the same as my Butterfly?  And I wasn't sure if it came with the infant insert?

I do know the Gemini and the Butterfly are different but not sure how.  I have a Gemini but know nothing of the butterfly.

I have the gemini and a friend has the butterfly - they are different. I believe the butterfly has the infant insert, but you do not need one with the gemini. The bottom piece folds and snaps to make it narrower so that it can be used for smaller infants. There are a few other small differences as well.

You can wear a baby forward-facing in the Gemini. I've never had one, but I adore the Butterfly.

The butterfly also has an inner harness so that you can litterally take the baby off of you in the carrier and put it on someone else.  It makes it so easy to get baby on your baby.  It comes with an infant insert.  It is no longer being made but I love this carrier!!

I have the Butterfly and love it! I wear dd in it for 2-4hrs every day at least. It's super comfortable and great for small babies/infants. It came with the infant insert which I still use since dd is only 13lbs. I also like how she is essentially in a pack that can easily be transferred without taking her out.
