Experienced Mamas - WWYD?

I'm sure all ftms have asked themselves this question! My LO is teeny- almost 4 weeks and hasn't quite hit 7lbs yet. We ran out of NB diapers tonight! We have 3 boxes of 1s, wwyd?

The 1s seem big on her, but I'm guessing at her 1 month appt on Friday she will be over 7.5lbs (fx!), should I just stick her in 1s and fold them over OR go out and buy a box of NBs? She could probably fit in NBs for another few weeks, so they wouldn't go to waste... hmmm...

I think this is one of those questions to which there is no wrong answer. If it was me, I would get another pack of NB diapers if the size one diapers still need to be folded down. But using the size ones is fine too.

Every time we finished a pack of NB's, we tried a size 1. They kept being pretty leaky until we were past 9 pounds, but my LO is pretty long and thin so the leg holes were the problem. So then we'd go buy yet another NB pack! We also found that every brand of 1's was a slightly different size.

In summary, baby diapers are no better with their sizing than ladies clothing!

We went through this and I ended up grabbing another box of nb. I only ended up with 3 left and just passed them to another mom today. It was worth it especially since it took LOs cord a while to heal.

I am guessing you made your decision already and I realize I'm certainly not "experienced" since my LO is only a week older than yours! But i would buy a NB pack. They won't go to waste and neither will the size 1s that you are debating between...plus the NB will fit way better!
