Mornin' I'm celebrating my birthweekend by having Dh cook me breakfast and him doing the ensuing dishes. Ha! And he invited some friends of ours over to celebrate tonight, but I'm not really looking forward to that Yes. I'm ungrateful.  

My parents are coming from out of town and are staying at a hotel, so we'll be taking Ds swimming this afternoon.

Eta I'm sorry your Dd woke you up so early!! That's not a good start to a Saturday!

Good morning! DS and I spent all day yesterday with my grandma. When we got home to DH, I told him grandma seemed lonely, and he called her up and made plans with her for us to take her to a museum today. DH can be very sweet occasionally!

That's really sweet!

We are going for a walk in the park to hopefully let DS1 run out some energy.

MH is covering for one of his coworkers so I'm here solo with B.  I've been prepping on and off and watching the Queen of Versaille.  I don't have much sympathy for people with that much money who still live beyond their means.  How can you be so smart to make so much money but so stupid as to not have enough money to take care of your family when things crash?

It's Derby Day here! DS is dressed in his Derby shirt, but it's a rainy and cold day (boooo) so we probably won't do much beyond watching the race on TV.

Morning all! DS2 had me up at 6; he is normally up around 7, so I'm tired.

I'm hoping the weather warms up so I can work on refinishing a dresser for DS1. I'm midway through the project and I just want to get it done!

I just got done watching this too. I think she is ridiculously out of touch with how the real world works.

What stuck with me was her comments about how "if she didn't/couldn't have nannies, she wouldn't have had so many children. If she had to take care of them herself, she would've just had one or two." I blank stared at my at my TV for several minutes after that.

Good Morning! DS1 and DS2 let me sleep in until 8:30 with just 1 wake up call at 2:30am from DS2. My brother just got home from his Freshman year at Penn State so we are going to my parents house after nap to hang with him. Tomorrow we are having a Cinco De Mayo party with friends.

We're supposed to have some friends and their kids come over today...then tomorrow DS is going to my Mom's so DH and I can have a Day Date. We're going to see Iron Man 3 and get Mexican Food at our Favorite place. I'm ridiculously excited!

I'm getting an Onya (possibly) from a local mama. 

I just looked up the Onya.  It looks a lot like an Ergo, but it can be worn on the back--am I right in my assessment?  It looks really neat!

And it's a high chair-thing too?

Sure! It is similar to an Ergo (which we also have). It's a soft structured carrier. I have a carrier problem. I also have a Moby, a woven wrap, a ring sling, and the Ergo. It's a slippery slope into crazy town.

I'm justifying it by saying the Ergo is DH's, and I need my own. Sure, we'll go with that.

I'm looking forward to trying my Moby again with a legs out hold. The newborn hold didn't work for us. He was too strong and really fought the fetal position.

Have you tried legs out yet? It's safe to do from day one. It's actually recommended!
