Bad milk

Omg. I just have my 14 mo d 6 oz of bad milk!!! The expiry said may 12!? I any believe I didn't notice. It smells a little off and looks a tiny bit flaky. I only noticed at the end of her drinking. What happens now????? Did I just ruin our Saturday because she's go an get sick

If it's whole milk sometimes the flakes can be from the fat. If it's bad it'll be chunky not flakey. Also, bad milk doesn't smell "a little off" it's either all or nothing. It's pretty obvious.

I live on a dairy farm and I think even fresh milk smells weird....but not bad or expired just like milk.

If she drank it, she probably didn't notice it and it's fine.

There's a 9 in 10 chance she'll be good. I wouldn't worry about it.

And yeah, it's only May 4.

The food bank uses milk for a few weeks after the expiration. It's not at its peak but probably safe for human consumption. I think expiration dates are way conservative, not a drop off a cliff date.
