Leaky diapers on a toddler

LO is almost 2 and in the past week, she's leaked through her diapers twice during naps. DH thinks that she is pulling on them while she's napping, but I think maybe she is just getting too big for the size 5s.

She has sensitive skin and so far she's done well in huggies pure and natural, but they only go up to size 5. Should I try pull-ups? Anyone else find a size 6 sensitive baby diaper?  She's not ready to potty train yet. I'm hoping maybe sometime this summer. I'm nervous to try different brands, since she's gotten really bad rashes from pampers and target diapers.

Re: Leaky diapers on a toddler

  • How big is she? She could be outgrowing them in size or in quantity. I mostly cloth diapered DS but I used disposables when he got older (the toddler poop was horrible for CDs! Lol). I used Huggies Pure and Natural then Honest Company diapers when they came out. I just checked and they come in size 6. I'd give those a shot. I think they have a free trial going on. They're good for sensitive skin. DS couldn't use the normal Huggies, Target, King Soopers generics, or Pampers without a terrible rash. Pure and Naturals, Honest Co, and one other brand that I can't remember were the only ones he could handle.

We haven't had this problem, but I have friends who have.  A couple of them put two diapers on (maybe you could put the size 5 on and then a 6 in a different brand that isn't really directly on her skin over it) or I have another friend who bought some of those plastic diapers covers and will sometimes put them over the diapers.
