Symptoms?

I was wondering if anyone had any symptoms or odd changes right before you foumd out you were prego? I'm having really bad cramps and food cravings. In addition I had unprotected sex 3 times during higj fertility as well as 3 times the week before. Just curious...

Re: Symptoms?

  • If you are far enough for symptoms then you are far enough to turn a test positive if you are pregnant. AF and pregnancy symptoms can some times be similar

  • I hate that everyone on here always says 'if you are far enough along to have symptoms then you are far enough to get a BFP'. 1) I have read SO many stories online about women who couldn't get a bfp until at least missing their period or days to WEEKS later, who went on to have healthy pregnancies, and who had many symptoms. Conversely, many women have NO symptoms and are able to get a clear BFP 2) the women on here are not doctors so be careful how much you take away from them.3) all that being said, you can experience many 'symptoms' during your entire cycle, but you won't really know that it is a pregnancy symptom until there is a test to confirm it. So try to be patient and hope for the best. GL

Did you know that the symptoms are caused by hormones and the hormones would show up on a pregnancy test if the quantity in the body was high enough to produce symptoms? No? Didn't think so.

Now, as for those women who had symptoms before a positive test, those could have been anything or nothing at all. Psychosomatic complaints are very common in early pregnancy or when women even THINK they could be pregnant. See this board as a reference of how common this is. Early onset of an illness can also produce "symptoms" and so can good ol' Aunt Flo.  There's a reason you see the responses you do on this board and usually it's because we've seen women spread misinformation and give others false hopes or just plain being naive and it gets annoying. I'm sure you were just trying to be nice, but there's no reason this girl can't take a test if she's having pregnancy symptoms.

  • The only symptoms I had were sore boobs and no period until I was 6 weeks, then the morning sickness, food aversions and extreme exhaustion kicked in.
