What is your favorite pasta salad? Please include a recipe if you can I'm not a big fan of the ones with Italian dressing. I'm trying to get some new ideas. Thanks!
Mine is a little different, but it's my husband's and mine FAVORITE thing to eat lately...
Barilla Penne Pasta: I always get the "with Protein" pasta
3 Chicken Breast
1 can black beans
1 can Mexican corn
1 sweet onion: chopped
1 avocado: needs to be very ripe!
1/2 to 1 cup Mayo or Miracle Whip, whichever you prefer, and use an amount you like...if you are a mayo fanatic, use lots, if not, use little.
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Boil the pasta as directed. Boil the chicken until done. Mix in a large bowl the black beans, Mexican corn onion, and avocado. Chop up chicken and mix in. Add Pasta. Add cheese. Add Mayo. VOILA! Soooooooooooo good.
In my family we have pasta salad with the Italian dressing and macaroni salad that we use elbow macaronis with mayo, hard boiled eggs, and a little paprika. It's a delicious BBQ side dish!
My fave is the one my grandma makes. I could eat a bucket of the stuff! Elbow macaroni, mayo, mustard, finely chopped pickles, chopped green olives with pimento inside, and salt to taste. It's more like a backyard BBQ style. Nothing fancy c:
Caprese pasta salad is one of my favorites lately.
Pasta of your choice
Halved cherry tomatoes
Fresh mozzarella diced or you can buy a jar of them shaped into small balls
Fresh basil
Red onion, optional
Toss with balsamic vinegar and evoo or I like it with Greek dressing too
This is a colorful and savory pasta salad that I make every late spring to summer and get many compliments on. I'm craving it as we speak!
2 packages of fresh tortellini (one spinach, one cheese)
1 bottle of yogurt ranch dressing (look for it in the refrigerated produce section)
1 medium red onion (diced)
1 red bell pepper (diced)
1 yellow bell pepper (diced)
1 green bell pepper (diced)
1 bag of frozen sweet corn
Cook tortellini until al dente and cool in fridge.
Dice all vegetables, defrost corn (do not cook), and toss in large serving bowl.
Toss pasta, vegetables, and dressing just before serving. (You can also choose to serve the pasta and vegetables separately from the dressing and let people choose their own.)
We cheat and start with any of the boxes of suddenly salad and then add whatever you like ... We have been on an Olive Garden dressing kick since we can now buy it at the store and it tastes soo yummy!
Thank you for all the suggestions! They all sound delicious!!

I make pasta salad with bowtie pasta, tomatoes, carrots
green peppers, xolby jack cheese, black olives and ranch
dressing. I don't like Italian dressing, so ranch is perfect.
