Preferably someone who delivers at Mercy Gilbert. Any thoughts on Goodman/Partridge vs. Valley Women for Women? I'm a first time mom and relatively new to AZ (less than 2 years) so I'm completely lost!
i went with goodman and had dr conrad deliver. she was great. but i was primarily seeing dr kale, very nice too. answered all my questions. good bedside manner.
Goodman and Patridge the Chandler office is awesome. Hands down the best care I've had. I changed facilities after my first office screwed up their 2nd chance. They have everything on site so you don't have to go to multiple locations for blood work and ultrasounds.
Consider midwifery care. I deliver at both Mercy Gilbert and Chandler Regional.

The two practices you mention also have midwives but are much larger practices. Knowing your provider when it comes to birthing is valuable to the experience.
I was with dr. Giali with women for women I really liked her but she stopped delivering at Scottsdale healthcare and due to insurance and since hubby and I are both employed by SHC we have to deliver there. I miss Dr. Giali.
I went with Dr Goodman and Partridge and loved it!! My experience at Mercy Gilbert was amazing and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. I seriously recommend them. Good luck with whomever you decide to go with

I also love Dr. Giali! I've already decided she will deliver our next one whenever we get pregnant. I had my last with Valley Women for Women and saw everyone. I would recommend seeing only one or two providers. I think it complicates things if you see someone different each time. I've heard good things about Goodman and Partridge, but I've also heard some really bad things. They induced my friend because they said her baby was big and he was actually just over 5 pounds.
I was with Goodman and Partridge but had bad experiences every time. Switched to one that doesn't deliver at Mercy Gilbert and much happier. But I wanted to suggest that you go on your insurance's web site and see what doctors are covered and sometimes, they list what hospital that doctor is affiliated with.
I have been going to Valley Women for Women and have had a really great experience so far. I am pregnant with my first, so no experience actually delivering with them yet. I do have a couple coworkers who delivered with various doctors from their office though and highly recommended them.
One of the things I really like about Valley Women for Women is that they offer family circle appointments. It is essentially a monthly appointment with other couples at your same genstational age with special speakers each time. My husband and I don't have too many friends pregnant with their first child so I liked the idea of meeting new people. Good luck
I used to hate having to deal with Goodman and Patridge when I was at work; their staff was unhelpful and the telephone wait time was forever. When I first moved to the Valley, I saw one of their gynos and was unhappy with her bedside manner as well as the front staff's level of professionalism (mind you, this was like 8 years ago).
The midwives at Valley Women for Women delivered my son at Mercy Gilbert; I haven't had any complaints about their midwives or front staff before/during/after my pregnancy.
I highly recommend Dr. Connors at Valley Women for Women. She is very supportive and listens to your concerns, she makes me feel like she cares for me like a sister! I had a very tough pregnancy with my daughter and she was born with defects and didn't survive...now I am expecting a healthy boy and Dr. Connors has held my hand every step of the way! If I was worried and wanted an ultrasound for reassurance, I got one!!! And I delivered at Mercy Gilbert - wonderful experience.
