I work for DHS in TN as a child care licensing program evaluator. Recently we have had go out to all our child care centers and homes to make sure they replaced their cribs with new ones that meets the new standards. I have spent hours teaching these providers about why their cribs are no longer safe to use.
Here is my issue. Our crib that we used for DD is a dropside crib that we bought used from a friend so its probably 5 to 10 years old now. I am desperately trying to talk DH into buying a new crib. He says he thinks it will be fine and that he can fix the drop side not to drop. I still want a new crib. Ugh!
Sorry for venting on you ladies. I just don't know what to do with my tight wad husband.
Re: Cribs
Safety first for the baby wins every argument every time. Good luck!
