I am about to go crazy. nbsp;I was just told "be patient and flexible." nbsp;Look mofo, I have been on hold OVER A GD HOUR! nbsp;I think I am being patient. nbsp;I have not yelled, I have not lost my cool, I have not given you nbsp;a reason to think I wasn't flexible! nbsp;You my friend are a douche. nbsp;I have been fighting tooth and nail to have my doctor bills paid. Bills that should be covered by my insurance. This battle has gone on for over two months. nbsp;I have been very patient. I have been very flexible. I don't need to be told to be flexible! nbsp;
Edit: they fvckung paid! They paid my previous podiatrist and agreed to the MRI! I have been refreshing the claims page all day! It was updated just a few min ago. I cannot express how happy I am.
Re: Updated! I need bail money and a driver.
That is a better plan than I have. Here's the story. (I know you want to hear this)
I was referred to podiatry by my PCP in Feb. I was told I needed to see someone within Kaiser. Kaiser couldn't get me in until March 30th at a location that is 2 hours away WITHOUT rush hour traffic. The only time was 8 am. I would have needed to leave my house by 530 or earlier to even make it anywhere near 8. The other locations closer to my home didn't have anything until April.
I emailed my PCP and told him, this was not acceptable. He referred me to an outside podiatrist. He saw me in early March.
Now, Kaiser is denying my claims stating I didn't have a reason to go outside of their doctors. They say they have plenty of doctors to serve their patients. Explains why there is no wait and I can get an appointment. (note sarcasm)
Today I call to get my EMG scheduled. Guess, what!? NO MOTHER EFFING APPOINTMENTS! The earliest appointment with neurology is in June. June 28th to be exact. Again, they are saying there is no reason for me to go outside of Kaiser, they have plenty appointments and doctors to serve their patients. On top of all of this I waited on hold for a really long *** time to be told this.
I can provide a Louisville slugger if you want.
I hate dealing with insurance companies.
We are still fighting with our insurance company over DH's CF screening (I'm a carrier) which he had done last January. I was told by my first RE that did my screening at a low cost lab that DH needed a different screening but they checked with our insurance and it would be covered since I am a carrier. Before I had gotten my results back we had decided to switch REs, so our new RE ordered DH's screening. Of course the insurance denied the claim, because they don't cover costs of IF testing or treatment, which is crap it's a genetic screening not IF testing.
Our RE's office wrote an appeal letter for us, but we won't know the decision of the appeal until the end of the month (according to the insurance company). The lab has sent us our second bill, so now we have to let them know again that we are appealing the claim so we are not going to pay the bill until we get an answer from the insurance company.
