I'd like to say that I would do an elaborate surprise but in reality I am sure I will shake a pee stick at him. At least that's what I did when I got my digital false positive in Feb.
3TC March Siggy Challenge: Funny Internet Meme Age: Me 26, DH 27, Married Oct. 10, 2009
,TTC since March 2012
Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
First RE appt 1/10/2013
Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then
Bloggy Blog!
A while ago, I bought baby socks that have his favorite hockey team on them, with the intent of giving him those. But really, I'll probably also throw the HPT at him. If I don't learn until a beta, I'll probably still do the socks.
With our CP I did thi really cute thing to tell DH. I put a Tshirt on our puppy that said big sister and had her run in and wake him up. It was sweet, but alas...it didn't stick.
I might just show DH the damn stick the next time. Lol
I plan to take him out to our favorite date restaurant. (We go there for the privacy. It has good food, but not a great location.) I will probably buy him a nice 'dad' gift and put it in a wrapped box so he can open it then and at the bottom of the box (wrapped in plastic and in its own box) put the test. I have yet to be announceably pregnant, so this will still be the cutesy-fun first time for us! (At least thats how I want it to go down since every other part of this experience has been a bit of a bummer.)
I'd like to say that I will do something really cute and sweet, but in reality, I'll probably end up bawling and run up to him with my positive test. Heehee
He proposed on a walking trail near our home. I'll sneak out there with some sidewalk chalk and draw a heart right where he proposed and write, "and baby makes three".
With my luck though, it'll happen when there's a foot of snow on the ground :
A long time ago I ordered a cute onsie that has something to do with BMW's (DH's hobby) and put it in a cute present box. It's been hidden under the bathroom counter since waiting for that day. I put it in there because I know I won't make it one step out of that bathroom without telling him, but I still wanted to do something cute.
I was thinking of doing something like this as well. We have an english bulldog that controls our house, so I saw a few cute onsies on Etsy that had english bulldog stuff on them. We did two IUI's this cycle (Wednesday & Thursday) and I was debating if I want to be optimistic and order them just in case its positive...
I really have no idea. I mean DH will know I'm going in for a BETA before work and probably text me how did the app go? If I do get a positive BETA call while I'm at work maybe I'll stop at the store on my way home and get some type of "My Dad's the coolest" onsie. IDK in my mind a BFP is such a far off thought.

I have an Orioles onesie and hat hidden away. Not sure if that is still how I would tell him. He called me before my nurse did last cycle, so I don't think I could get in the door without him tackling me. Lol.

HSG, BW, Ultrasound, SA, Genetic testing, Karyotype - all normal
I will not be doing anything cute, there's no way I could not tell him immediately. After our first bfp I bought a cute stuffed toy, one of those monkey head/blanket body things, I had it laying out on the bed when he got home but I'd already told him. With the second one, I told him immediately but put the monkey out on the bed again for him to find. Now I think the monkey might be cursed!
Our first BFP was the biggest surprise ever on CD135 so I literally ran upstairs and middle-named him and just cried uncontrollably.
I'd like to say I will do something creative next time.. but I wont. Just more yelling.

When I got pregnant last year (m/c at 6 weeks), I put together a cute little book for DH with pictures of all sorts of cute red-headed babies (I'm a redhead and it runs in both of our families), with a caption under each pic wondering what our little ginger baby will be like. When I get a BFP again, I'll probably just show him the pee stick, since it still breaks my heart that he keeps the little book I made him last year hidden away in his nightstand...

IF, 5 losses, 1 son, 1 on the way.
This for me too. He knows too much about when my beta is and all that for any surprises. We'll be surprised enough just that it has worked.
