We are considering getting private speech services for J, since he's not getting nearly enough through school and we don't want him to lose ground over the summer.
What should we be looking for? His most pressing issues right now are articulation, and he's still speaking a mix of Spanish and English (with difficulties in both languages).
Re: Private Speech Therapy
I'd look for a provider that is covered by your insurance and that has openings at a time that works for you?
Seriously - I had a heck of a time finding a provider to meet that criteria.
Beyond that any SLP you meet with will do an initial eval to see where your child falls and their recommended course of treatment.
