Did you CD in the hospital? Were the nurses on board with it or did they think you were crazy? How many CD's did you pack for the hospital? I have a few NB AIO's and come NB prefold/covers. We will be in the hospital about 48 hours after delivery.

Re: CD in Hospital?
Everyone thought they were adorable. I brought lil joeys and kissas fitteds, as well as some prefolds and covers. I was there 46 hours, and I brought 18 because that's all I had that would fit under the cord. I had some eco sposies as back up, and I left some on the top of the bassinet with a onesie in case a nurse needed to change her for any reason (I think they did after her heel stick/discharge assessment, but that was it). I fed every 3h or when she needed it, and changed then. I didnt need covers over the fitteds. She really didn't go through a ton of diapers until we got home.
We live 5 min from the hospital so it was NBD to have to run home for something, so I didn't worry about having too much stuff to pack. I had an uncomplicated delivery so I had no trouble doing laundry my first day home. As a FTM some of my family thought I was crazy, but I couldn't wait to use the tiny little diapers, and she was soo cute in them!

Nope, that was one thing I didn't want to worry about as a ftm.
I didn't. I just don't feel THAT strongly about what my baby poops on. We used the hospital provided disposables while in, then switched to cloth when we got home.
I managed to accidentally throw my sleep bra into the black hole of the hospital laundry. It's not a good time for me to be responsible for cloth diapers.

I plan on doing it next time, or at least being prepared to in east case scenario, but am glad that as a FTM I didn't. It was really high stress for me. I had a very long unmedicated labor so I was totally exhausted, and then was kind of shell shocked at having an actual baby afterwards. Plus, A had a lot happen during her first day of life, including an unexpected echocardiogram for two previously undetected holes in her heart. I just am glad we didn't have to deal with the added stress of diapers.
