I see you're located in GA.  It may be a bit of a drive, but may be worth it to check out Carolina Conceptions in Raleigh, NC.  They have a great embryo adoption program...very inexpensive and way simpler than all these other girls are posting about.  Good luck!

  • I am currently working with the Wisconsin Fertility Institute. I am not using donor embryos, however, I am working closely with the woman who started and runs their program (I believe they have eggs and embryos). We are working with her in regards to gestational carriers, but she is amazing! When we started talking about the future, they did tell me after retreiving and fertilizing my eggs, they can send them wherever our future gestational carrier is located, so I would assume they could send embryos to wherever you are. Just a thought and/or something to look in to.

    TTC since April 2010
    BFP #1 – March 2011, missed m/c April 2011
    BFP #2 – October 2011, m/c November 2011
Surprise BFP #3 – December 2011, diagnosed as cornual, terminated January 2012
    BFP #4 – June 2012, m/c July 2012
Diagnosed with bicornuate ute and MTHR gene mutation
    BFP #5 – October 2012, missed m/c November 2012
    BFP #6 – January 2013, m/c March 2013
No longer TTC. Diagnosis: Hostile ute. Heartbroken and bitter. Pursuing surrogacy.
June 2013 - Carrier found! Could this really happen?!

  • There are several clinics with embryos, but most have a year waiting list (which is why we chose FIRM).  I have a list on my blog that has several places listed along with fees and wait time. You can find it at agreateryes.blogspot.com.Also, a woman recently contacted me about her service that helps match people but she charges $2000. Message me if you want her info.

Some find them themselves from forums, Miracles Waiting, and blogs. Liz on here would be a great one to ask as she has found hers this way.
  • Firm is pretty much out and I am scared if I wait too ong I am going to lose my nerve to do this again.  I called Embryo donation international today but unlike the frim where it is $3450, they do the same thing for $6423.   Ummm they say they dont sell embyos lol.  I have exactly $2800 left so I guess I better stick with the firm.

My clinic does not charge for the embryo..they only charge for the surgical procedure of doing the transfer and then medications...only a couple thousand. Just wanted to mention that in case you did want to look into it.  But the wait time might be an issue for you.

    Just saw this...

After researching a whole lot of options, I can tell you FIRM is significantly cheaper than other clinics and most other clinics don't have available embryos and you'll be on a waiting list. I know that you may be able to pay less for your second cycle at FIRM. Have you asked them about this? I would stick with FIRM if they are local and have 6 wonderful embryos to offer, but that's just me. :) Good luck!
