I have been trying extremely hard to get this 30 pounds off of my ,hips and stomach. We go on daily walks, about a mile total, and during naps I do some ab workouts, wall sits and whatnot. It hasn't should a lot of improvement, but I realize getting this baby weight off is going to take time. And possibly if I laid of the sweets, it would go faster, but I crave chocolate 23 hours out of the day, which is weird because I never was a chocolate fan until PP this time.
So how is everyone else trying to keep/get in shape? Would love to hear other ideas!

I have heard a lot of good things about her workout videos. I might buy that and see if it helps.
I am hoping once I lose all my extra weight my stretchmarks will start to fade too. I didn't get any with DD1, but with DD2 I have them on my love handles, on my thighs, even right below the back of my knee. I blame it on being pregnant during Christmas. Way too many sweets for my chunky butt to indulge in! Ha.
Size 5 jeans will fit me again one day!
Walks on the park and I do 5 squats every time my son spits out his soother and I have to put it back in. I might switch this up to lunges and push ups as we go!
That is hilarious that you said that about chocolate because I never used to eat it and now I want it all the time!
I get about 6 hours of sleep broken up a night, and started working full time again a few weeks ago so by the time I get home I am exhausted. I need to also figure out when to fit in working out so I can drop the weight.
this is me too! I've been thinking for months about joining weight watchers online and ordering the 10min workout video by the guy who does P90X videos but haven't pulled the trigger on either yet. I did do a few squats the other day while the baby was on her play gym and she thought it was hilarious, was giggling the entire time so maybe I'll add squats to play time now! All I've done so far is ride my bicycle to work (6 miles round trip) and eat lots of chocolate!
I wasn't losing anything until I started counting calories (My Fitness Pal app!) and working out consistently. Once LO is down for the night, I spend the next 30 minutes - 1 hour working out. Even though I haven't lost tons of weight, I feel much better after working out.
I tend to use The Firm DVDs, Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred, and Rockin' Body DVDs. The Rockin' Body ones are really fun and you do get a GREAT workout.
can you go to the gym? our local Y takes them at 6 weeks, which means I have been working out since basically then. It also gives me such a break from the kids!
the most important thing is your diet. you don't have to give up chocolate at all, but make sure that your meals are protein rich, dense in veggies/fruits and that you don't overeat.
working out is different for each person's preference, but I would try to at least do 4 days a week. I started out running, then doing interval running, and now I'm doing that along with HEAVY lifting. if you want to lose inches, heavy lifting is the key - I've gone down a whole size in less than five weeks. I know we hear, heavy lifting makes you 'bulk', but it's absolutely untrue. it takes a LOT for women to gain mass. rather, it makes you lean and taut. the sessions don't take long, aren't boring like cardio, and help you lose inches, fat and build muscle.
