Trouble TTC

fingers crossed

So my husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now n im getting so sad every month when it doesn't happen. I went in earlier this month for an HSG test just to check things out. My left side was fine but my right side wouldn't let any of the dye in my doctor says he thinks that the tube just spasamed. He wants me to go back to do it again in 6 months if we haven't conceived. Well I am tracking with opk testers and I ovulated on the 27th so here's to another month in hoping!!! sorry for the lil rant but if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. My husband helps but he just says it will happen when it happens...... Thanks in advance!!!

Unless you are entering your BBT into that app, it can't tell you when you ovulated.  Even OPKs can't tell you that you definitely ovulated.  OPKs detect the LH surge that usually occurs a day or two before ovulation, it is possible to have a LH surge and not ovulate.

Also you should just get rid of your bump ticker, it's worthless.

I definitely second the suggestion of using FF to chart your BBT.  It will confirm ovulation and you will no if you had good timing or not.  It also can tell you how long your LP is, which is useful to know when starting IF testing and treatments.

    PAIF/SAIF Welcome!

  • First of all, I would look into seeing an RE sooner than later. OBGYN's aren't in the business of getting people pregnant. My OB ordered my HSG, thought I had one blocked tube. She said I could give it more time, to see if I could get PG on my own, or I could go see an RE. After almost 2 years of trying, I wasn't going to wait anymore! I wanted more answers! I went to the RE, and she immediately knew by the U/S she performed that BOTH of my tubes were blocked. I ended up having the LAP procedure and having both tubes removed because they were so messed up. You are probably ok, I'm a pretty rare case when it comes to the tubes, but if it's where you can, I'd get a 2nd opinion from an RE sooner than later!
GL and I hope this helps! Feel free to PM if you have any questions!
