IUI tomorrow - concerned

So from what I have read on iuis, I feel like I'm too early. I had 2 follicles that averaged 18 and 2 more that were around 13 in my right. Left side had about 3 but they only averaged 8-10. They triggered me this morning and scheduled my iui for 10am tomorrow. Isn't this all a bit too soon? Aren't my follicles supposed to be 20+ and the iui 36 hours later? My lining was a 7 which was a bit on thin side and they want me on some support so I pick up the patches and progesterone today. I am a bit concerned that this cycle will be a bust. :-/

When was your monitoring appointment?  Today? Honestly, it maybe seems a little soon, but I think you still have a decent shot. 18mm follies are pretty good. Are you doing BTB IUI's, or just the one tomorrow?  I think if you just do the one tomorrow and then BD tomorrow night, and the following day at the very least, you should have yourself covered. Good luck, and try not to worry.(Easier said than done - I know).

I have no clue what a BTB IUI is, but yes, just one tomorrow. DH is going out of town for work immediately after he gives the sample, but I am going to drive out to meet him Friday night. Hopefully that's not too late. Will my follies continue to grow a little before O? This is my first IUI, so I am clueless!

Maybe a tad early, but not by much....you normall trigger when they are 18-20 adn do IUI right after (not 36 hrs). My RE likes them closer to 20 or larger for IVF, but for IUI, they can be closer to 18. GL!

Every doctor is different! For this cycle I had a 14mm and a 13mm and my doctor triggered me! Did you also get blood draws? My blood work is what told my RE that the follicles were ready. He was also concerned about the large number of follicles I had and didn't want to overstimulate me, so it really depends on the doctor and your body...but, I think the average is between 18mm-20mm. My doctor had me trigger 36 hours later. And yes, the trigger gives your follicles one last push so they continue to grow until you ovulate. I think you should be okay. GL to you and try not to stress about it!

I think it sounds fine, especially if you are able to meet up with your DH. My follies were no where near as big as 18---mine were 12/13, but I triggered like 3 days after my appt so they grow. I definitely think your follie sizes sounds great, especially since they keep growing. GL!!!

I haven't done IUI so I don't have any experience or advice to share....just wanted to say good luck.  Sending positive thoughts your way.

I think you will be fine.  I had a trigger 24 hrs before IUI and 36 hours before IUI.  Each cycle is different.
