Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Another formula question.

I have a 3 month old (15 weeks). She is inconsistent with the ounces of formula. How many ounces does your LO drink at a time? How many bottles a day?

Re: Another formula question.

  • DD is 4 months...she drinks 4-6 oz every 2-4 hours...we feed on demand so she eats when she wants and we offer her 6 oz and sometimes she wants it all and sometimes she stops around 4 oz...strangely, she almost always stops at 4oz for me but eats all 6oz whenever the grandparent/my sister (they keep her during the week) feed her...I think a little inconsistency is fine- as long as LO is staying hydrated and is getting full at each meal.

  • My daughter is 13 weeks, she eats 4 oz. at almost every feeding (eats every 3 hours), except usually the last one of the night, when she eats 2.5-3 oz.  She's on the petite side, so she usually eats a bit less than the other babies around the same age.

    She's eating 6 bottles a day--- 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm, 9 pm

  • My 4 month old eats 4 to 6oz roughly every 3 hours. Sometimes sooner or later. His first bottle is between 5/6 am and his last between 7/8:30 pm. He has weeks that I can't predict when or how much he will eat and then it's back to a routine.
  • DD is 5 Months and eats four 8 oz bottles a day.  At 3 months I think she was around 5 ounces every 4 hours or so.
