I just joined today because I am looking for advice on my toddler throwing food. I then thought I'd ask cloth diapering moms what they'd like to see in a diaper liner as I'm thinking about making some to try and market. I got the rudest response about how I shouldn't be using people as a "free idea service." I then responded by asking that people not reply if they don't like my question. Following this, yet another woman tells me that people would be "willing to be nicer if they had any idea who you are." Seriously?!? You only deserve to be treated nicely if you are well known to others? I am quickly being reminded of why I left the last mommy website I joined.

This is such a perfect response all i can say is
Sorry you have had such a chilly welcome! Yes - it would be nice to write an intro story (kind of thought that was the whole point of the "my bio" space though). Anyway, I do feel that sites like this should be more open and willing to help mothers and mother-to-be, not so much chastize them. We're all coming from (and headed to) the same place (relatively speaking). My assumption would be that members on this site have a large amount of knowledge and advice for those asking! Definitely frustrating. A little sad to hear this was the general reaction you received.
