Still love Typhanny (or however the hell it was spelled) J/K.
BUT I am obsessed with the name Willa right now. I'm not KU, but even if I was we most likely wouldn't use the name because a) DH made the 'ehh' shoulder shrug when I brought it up the other day b) my nephew is named Will and we see them all the time 3) my BFFs DD is named Willow and it sounds so similar.
I'm also digging Nella too. Boy names never get me riled up though...sad. Any names you've heard recently that you love?

Re: So we covered horrid baby names, what about good ones?
I'm the same way with boys names, just not as exciting to me!
I still love Hannah which was our girls name and most likely will be the name of our first daughter. I'm also loving both Kella and Lucy. DH isn't a huge fan of Kella or Lucy, but we aren't pregnant so we've got time.
"I will show you the kind of big sister I will be..."
Boy names don't get me riled up either

Our top boy name right now is Ellis. It doesn't go well with the mn we planned to use next, Harris, though. So probably Ellis Dempsey, so Southern lol.
Our girl name is Mary Alice Francesca, double first name.
My current guilty pleasure names are Cordelia, Juniper, Fletcher, Alistair.
Love Ellis!
"I will show you the kind of big sister I will be..."
Me too!
Uggg! I should save this for FFFC, but sometimes after I've had a glass of wine or two, I regret that I didn't push more for Quinn to be Kate's first name instead of mn. DH just wasn't feeling it. I still love Kate for a first name...a lot really, but (and this might sound weird) its so universal that I know people have there own associations with it that are different than how I think of it...does that make sense?

My full first name is Anastasia! My dad decided to have me go by Stasi, rather than Stacey or Stacy or Stacie....because of that.

My BFF with the daughter named Willow is currently TTC. I bug her ALL the time to name her next Wren if its a girl. I think they make cute sibling names. I also know twin baby girls Wren and Mae.

FFFC: I like the full name a lot plus I think it would be kind of funny to be Stacy's Mom
Agreed. I'm ok with my name, but I've never felt like someone who decides to name their kid Anastasia would be the type to then turn and call her Stasi (or any other version) for a nn. They are too different types of names...I'll have to ask my parents what they were thinking there

Sometimes I think the best perk to writing fiction is getting to use all the names I love for characters--ha! There's totally a Nella in the book my agent is peddling right now Very cute name!
Boys names of love: Isaac (frontrunner if we have a boy), Eben, Ethan, Arthur
And more girls' names: Clara, Georgia, Ruby, Esther/Hester (vetoed), Helen (sounds dumb with our last name), Marietta
I've heard Stasi many times as nn for Anastasia in Greek culture.
I also have a name crush on Brody. It started when I was watching back to back episodes of Glee. (Pre male escort.) Maybe because he was super smexy there and not a self-centered douche from MTV.
No matter, I would never use it. It would sound TERRIBLE with our last name. TERRIBLE.
Our boy names were going to be Charles with the nn of Charlie and Oliver.
and after naming dd Austyn I don't want a traditional name for the next.
nn Maggie? I love that nn for Margaret. I also love Ginny as an nn for Virgina. Don't know why I connect the two.
I love Lorelei and only used it as our working title after we decided we would use it. Then we spent two days in the hospital trying to fill out the birth certificate and wanting to use it. I also love Anastasia. I got vetoed with that one though.
I also sometimes wonder why I named Alexis instead of Lexie. IDK.... I still like it I just somehow forgot how much I love that my name Katie is actually my name not a nickname. I also saw your DD's name and was jealous of the Quinn... love it (It helps that Kate is BEAUTIFUL!). It could be the next DD's name!
"I will show you the kind of big sister I will be..."
and Catherine (Cate), Hannah for a girl.
Nothing too out of the ordinary, but some of the other names I tossed around for our kids that I still like include:
For boys: Luke, Owen and Joel
For girls: Josie, Lia, Camille
DH and I have an easy time agreeing on boys names. We like Jack, Henry, Zachary.
Someone said Harrison- I like that too.
For girls, we never agree. I like Penelope nn Penny, but those dumb Kardashians kind of ruined that for me. I also like Laura, Julia, Kate
I tried so hard to get my dh on board with juniper, which was my favorite girl baby name for years and years.
I would be in favor of naming all our kids nature names, though this is hard for boys... Blossom, willow, juniper, maple, etc
My favorite boy names are Asher and Judah. We were thinking about using Jonathan, but that is dh's name and then you get into an awkward situation where there are two Jonathans because we would call him Jonathan and not Jon.
Makes me want to have more... Haha
I love Beatrice, called Bea. Mabel. And shoot me, but I loveee Joey for a girl.
My boy name is August, called Augie.
ETA: I love Penelope, called Penny. And I love Clementine. My little sisters called dibs on those (we have a dib jar, kind of a family joke but it was annoying when I was choosing names because they each have 20 names in the jar and I doubt they will ever have 20 kids).
IF we go for a 4th, I think it will be either Emerson Mae or Sawyer Mae for a girl (if I can get DH on board with Sawyer or Lucas Kai for a boy.
I love the name Bennett for a boy (and I actually grew up on Bennett Court so it does have some significance to me) but my nephew's name is Benjamin so I can't use it I also have some guilty pleasure girl names that I'd never use, but still love. #1 being Eva Mae. So sweet! I also love love love the name Margot.
Carter Robert 7.18.08 | Brynn Sophia 5.24.10 | Reid Joseph 9.10.12 | Emerson Mae 1.27.14
I LOVE Scarlett but we can't pull it off with our last name. Colby was going to be Emery Brynn if he was a girl. I'm a little sad we didn't get to use it. I wish we had went with Coby instead of Colby. I like Emmitt and Toby for boys too. IF (HUGE IF!!!) We have another we are going to have a REALLY hard time deciding on a boys name.
I'm loving all the Lucas love, nn Luke. That would be my boy name if it wasn't my brother's name.
My dad actually misspelled the name, he was named after a college roommate named Lukas.
I like those names, especially with Adiah...they go well together!

Ok, I'm loving the Quinn love!! We are very happy with our name for her, although people assume she is a boy a lot. Oh we'll.
if we have a girl next, we really like Bria, Lola, and Sloane
if we have a boy next, we like Mack, Sawyer, Beckett and Camden
We aren't TTC but we discuss names constantly it seems.
If we have a boy, most likely he'll be named Tucker. Cooper & Tucker flow well IMO. Back up names are, Henry, Harrison & Benjamin.
If we have a girl, Emerson June. I've loved that name forever and DH is finally on board. Back up would probably be, Harper or Charlotte.
Cooper Edward

I agree. I'm impressed!

Girls: Penelope, Lorelai, Molly (although none are a possibility unless we have a fourth kid/second girl. DH is set on Abigail for a future daughter)
Boys: Henry (I'm so sad Sean isn't a Henry), William nn Liam, Nolan
