So my Gyni put me on the Nuva ring at my last appt. She said I could use it while BF. Well my milk has slowed tremendously and Im reading it isn't good for BFing mothers! So of course I take it out immediately and wouldnt you know my damn AF started this morning! I am SOOOOO upset! I was totally trying to avoid having a period for at least 6 months, and now I have to figure out how to up my milk, not get PG again and do I need essurance, because I dont want to have another baby and I need to protect my milk.

There are forms of B.C. that are breastfeeding-friendly: mini-pill or an IUD is the way to go.  With the mini-pill there is a higher risk of pregnancy, just FYI.  You could also use condoms or if you're into natural family planning the Fertility Awareness Method is great, but it's pretty hands on and there is a lot of room for user error.
