We are considering moving DD#1 into her toddler "day bed" and wondering if anyone has a Pali convertible crib and has just taken the front crib rail off without buying the actual toddler conversion kit. I was planning on just getting those safety rails you can get anywhere (and slides under mattress)...for the amount of time she'll be in the toddler bed, just wasn't sure it was worth the $ for the rails...
We have a Pali and only bought the conversion to a double, not the toddler bed. We haven't even used the crib yet as LO arrives next week but your thinking is our thinking.
My dd is 2.4 and we have that crib. I will get the toddler rail. For my kid, I do not think she can make it to a huge bed right away, she need a slow transition. Every kid is different. She is still in a crib, and I plan to keep her there until she jumps out on her own, but the next step is toddler bed.
