Hi Ladies. I am on Welbutrin now. I have been on it for a few days. I don't feel like eating at all. I skipped breakfast this morning because I wasn't hungry at all. At work, I got really lightheaded, so I ate a few chips. I have issues with low blood pressure, so I need salt to keep it normal. Just went on lunch at work, and didn't eat anything then, either. Does this happen to everyone?

Yes, and I lost a ton of weight while I was on it because of it.

I am sure that someone will correct if I am wrong, but don't most side effects lessen over time? Lexapro made me lose weight at first (about 15 lbs), but after a while, it no longer had that effect on me. I have been prescribed Topomax for my headaches, and haven't taken it yet (its been a month already) because I have heard it causes serious loss of appetite, and I am already on the thin side, and don't need that in my life right now.

I would force myself to eat light foods that have a lot of punch nutrient-wise, and see if that helps any. If the med doesn't help you enough with your original problem, and you still can't get hungry, I would try a new Rx.

I think decreased appetite is a very common side effect of that drug.

If you are concerned though, def check with your doc.

I lost my appetite when I was on it. I got it switched to something else.

I would definitely talk to your Dr.
