Re: Size Difference ?? 6.5 Mo

  • My girls were 1.5 lbs apart at birth and have continued to remain about a pound apart.

Were your girls far apart in size at birth? Do you know if they are ID or fraternal? Is your bigger girl a better eater? There are so many factors that could impact their sizes.

  • I have a boy and a girl, so it could just be gender difference. But my son has always been about 2 pounds heavier and 1.5 to 2 inches taller. Our baby girl is tiny, tiny. 6 months old and still wearing 0-3 clothes!

  • We are 8lbs apart & have been so for the last 3 months. They were 4.3lbs apart at birth. They are both totally normal & doing well.

  • my boys were 6 oz apart at birth, but because one has always been a good eater and the other a snacker, they quickly deviated from being close in weight.  I'd say around 3-4 months my champ eater was 3-5 lbs heavier than his brother, and at their last weigh in at 2yrs. He was 6.5 lbs heavier, but also 2.5 inches taller :D)  I'm pretty much buying 4t for him and 3t stuff for his brother.  Get's a bit confusing when dad goes to dress them, and I get a LOT of "they can't be twins!" :) I guess the saying is true--just because they were in your belly at the same time, doesn't mean they'll be the same person ;) Or something like that ;)

this is almost the same for me. My son has always been 3lbs bigger than my daughter. My daughter is also very tiny and still in 3 month clothing and in size 1 diapers....although she's almost about to switch to 2s. Woo Hoo!!!

  • My twins had there nine month appointment today and there is a five pound difference between them.

They started off with only a 13 oz difference, but they are built differently and the difference has increased at every well visit.

They are both girls if that makes a difference.
