I'm talking postpartum here...
Anyone ever heard of this? My MIL said she was given a list of exercises after birth to help reduce the size of her uterus, this was either before they "massaged" or they did not do it at her hospital. Now - this was 35 years ago and she doesn't remember a darn thing.
I've tried to Google, but it really just talks about massage.
If anyone has ever heard of this I'd be interested in trying stuff in addition to kneading my belly like dough (I've heard that's fun!)

Re: Exercises to reduce uterus size?
Thanks ladies. I do know about breastfeeding and oxytocin (which I'll be BFing) just didn't know if anyone had heard of anything else.
Thanks again!

There was a post about red raspberry leaf tea yesterday somewhere - that's supposed to tone your uterus to help it shrink more quickly.
I don't know about exercises.
We talked about this at Bradley class last night. Instructor told us at most hospitals now it's "standard operating procedure" to give you pitocin after you've delivered LO to contract the uterus very quickly.
BTDT moms - is that true?
