OMGOMGOMGOMG Major work error: panicking

I had to do a major analysis comparing costs, savings, etc. with 2 vendors we use.  I prepared the spreadsheet and a powerpoint and emailed it to my boss who is a Sr. Director, his boss who is a Sr. VP and my co-worker (who I love) that is our strategy and analysis manager.

I ATTACHED THE WRONG SPREADSHEET AND SENT OUT MY PERSONAL FINANCES/BUDGET SPREADSHEET!

The VP replied with "I believe you sent out the incorrect spreadsheet and I'm deleting this entire thread.'  OMG  I want to die.

I used to have a password on the spreadsheet too and for some reason it hasn't worked so I just let it go, but now they all have/could have seen my finance.  My co-worker said he was deleting it right away, and I'm not all the worried about him.  I feel like such an IDIOT!  I hate this place and need to get out asap even moreso now.  This is what sleep deprivation does to you too!!!  Aaaaaahhh!!!

Ahh! I'm so sorry! Hopefully everyone just deleted it right away with out reading anything!

I would be mortified if anyone saw our budget.

I would hope they would have deleted it right away....I would have. No point in looking at somebody elses finances. However, if they saw mine, maybe they would feel bad for me and give me a raise. HAHAH

This. I'd recall then send a new email with the correct one and not discuss it further.

Just did.  My co-worker deleted it without reading.  Not sure about my boss, so hopefully it was recalled from his box.  Ugh!

Recall doesn't work.  It just sends an email saying "this message has been recalled" but you can still open the original.  I'd just send the new one and not mention it again.

I did basically the same thing once, except I sent out my [of course rather personal] anniversary letter for my husband to all my teaching partners instead of the parent letter I wanted them to look over. I still get red in the face thinking about it.

Take heartat least your budget probably didn't include allusions to your sex life. ;]

LOL!  No, nothing personal.  Just the total we bring home and the amount for each bill itemized...so they can see how much I spend on Mortgage, car, groceries, daycare, etc.  and what's "leftover" which isn't much!!!

Someone just recalled an email.  I had never heard of that until today.  Now I'm looking to see what they accidentally sent me.  If it were personal, I'd have enough respect not to.........but it doesn't appear to be.
