I have never found a Greek yogurt that I liked. They l taste like sour cream to me. I decided to try once more and got Oikos vanilla on recommendation from a friend, and I think we can get on board with it.
Question: why is this on Ks list of healthy fats, when the package says "non fat?"
Re: Greek yogurt
I have the hardest time getting on board with Greek Yogurt. I try and try but I just don't like it.
Augie loves it though. Chobani makes these jammers, the tubes like Gogurt. He loves those. The problem is they are 2.75oz and it's just not enough for him! Chobani also makes the "bites" which are smaller containers, 3.5oz. I'll get those for him but they only sell them at Walmart and I don't go there often. Otherwise Yoplait makes a 4oz greek and he likes that a lot too.
I happily serve him greek yogurt for the extra protein because he's still not the best meat eater.
As for me, I'll keep trying ...
I love those tubes! They are an absolute staple in our fridge anymore. It's something he's always willing to eat (especially frozen).
Greek yogurt made with whole milk would be for K. I had a heck of a time finding that version for O (I was determined because he won't eat meat and I need more protein in him then just the peanut butter he will eat).
At our regular grocery market they have TRADITIONAL Oikos - it has a red band on the label. The low or non fat ones don't have the red band. He loves it. Has 4.5 grams of fat I believe.
I will look for this. I bought these at Walmart, so I will check my regular grocery store. I seriously stood in front of the yogurt section for 10 minutes. I kept moving out of the way for people because I was there so long.
The things you do for your kids...
I know! I was there forever on multiple occasions, there is so much yogurt!! lol
