Question about formula through airport security

Okay next week we are flying to Long Beach and thankfully it's only a 45 minute flight. We are going to have empty bottles then get water after we go through security. I have heard the TSA will check the formula powder, is this true? I am bringing a container but I will also have a smaller container in the diaper bag with me like always. Also did they want to check your gas drops, tylenol, or butt cream? I always have them in the diaper bag just in case and just want to be ready.

I put anything questionable in a plastic bag and just laid it out separately in one of those bins.

As for the formula, we had one of those travel containers (a plastic container with divided sections for pre-measured formula), and nobody checked it.

ETA - Questionable, meaning liquid or even semi-liquid.

They only check the water I had  in the bottles, and on the way down I had a whole pack of wipes, they checked that too (by the way back they were used up).

I had the formula in the can and water in bottles and they didn't check anything.

We put water in the bottles before security and they tested it by placing the whole bottle in this machine. The powder was never checked at either airport.

Yep pretty much the same experience here.  I had BM in a bag, and all I did was tell them what it was before it went through the machine.  As far as the creams, etc.  Just put in a quart Ziploc bag  & lay it out in the bin.
