Is 4 better?

Honestly 3's have been ridiculous. DS1 has been an azzhole and I know that's horrible to say but it's true. I feel like all he does is whine, say no, throw temper tantrums and not listen. I know it's normal and will pass but holy shiit, it's making me crazy. Are the 4's better?

  • I'm glad to hear 4 is better. He was so wonderful and never had the terrible 2's so I guess it was time for him to let it out.

  • Some people have told me it gets better at 4, but I've heard others say it just gets worse.  I think it depends on the kid honestly.  3 was hell for us.  Like for real, it was absolutely awful.  She has gotten better within the last few months (she was 4 in November, need to update my ticker!) but she still has moments throughout the day where I want to bang my head up against the wall.

  • 3 and 4 have both had some really rough moments for me, and I honestly don't think 4 is better.  But as some other people said I think that it depends on the child.

With both of my girls, I found from around 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 to be the worst.  Both have had moments after 4 1/2 but nothing like that year time frame.  I could really tell with DD#2 as I was getting closer and closer to 5 (she turned 5 in March) as life just seemed to get easier with her (not that she is an easy child in any means - she is my drama baby and way harder than my older DD who has ADHD!!!).  Personalty will play a part in this but yes, it will get better.
