Hi everyone, I posted here while TTC to ask what prenatal care was like with a midwifery practice. I wanted to avoid unnecessary interventions during birth, but it was important to me to have some prenatal screens and an ultrasound, and didn't know if I could expect that with midwives. This board assured me that midwives weren't anti technology and that I should have access to all of the same prenatal screenings if I wanted them.
Fast forward to today, and I'm 10 weeks pregnant and love my midwifery practice! They spend time with me making sure I understand all of my options and answer my questions. And I can make the same choices about prenatal screening and ultrasounds that OB patients can. Thank you all for encouraging me and clearing up my misconceptions about midwives!
