Blood results back: FVL positive
I posted a couple weeks back about my situation. Thought I would post in case this helps anyone with theirs. I just got my blood results back on Friday. I tested positive for Factor V Leiden. The nurse didn?t tell me heterozygous or homo so today I called and she told me I am homozygous. Wonderful! This puts me at an even greater risk of developing clots. They are setting up an appointment for me with a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist out of town. Not sure when that will be yet, but hopefully soon. I only had two miscarriages but pushed for the testing and I am SOOO glad I did. If you are in my situation, it can?t hurt to ask, especially if you think something is wrong.
In case you are wondering, here is my history: 1st son born with microtia of the right ear (ear and ear canal not developed) which research doesn?t show really how this happens except could possibly be from blood flow restriction. Then I had a miscarriage at 12wks after him. I went on to have another boy with no complications. Now, I just experienced another miscarriage at 12wks at the beginning of the month.

I too pushed for testing after my second loss. I'm still waiting for the tissue results from the baby to come back, but my bloodwork showed that I'm hetero for MTHFR, not the worst, but it makes me really worried that we'll mc again for a 3rd time even with closer monitoring, more vitamins and progesterone if needed. It's so hard when you've had RPL. TP are with you and your family.

I'm also scared to m/c a 3rd time. My next doctors appointment is on Friday, cos the doctor wants to do some more test. She said she would explain everything to me on Friday, so I'm a bit nervous.
