Talk to me about Wub-a-nubs

DS has gotten into the habit of rubbing my shirt, hair, skin, whatever before I put him to bed. He's too small still for a blanket, wakes up the second I put him down in his crib,  so I was wondering if the wub a nub would be a good solution. My questions- does the stuffed animal come off so you can wash the animal and pacifier? Does the stuffed animal get wet and nasty from all the drooling? Does it really make it easier for your LO to get the paci back in their mouth? Love it or not worth the money?

Re: Talk to me about Wub-a-nubs

  • My DS loved his wubs!  (He no longer has interest in a paci)  The paci does not come off but I would just wash the whole thing in a lingerie bag with his clothes and then let it air dry.  DS loved holding the wubs and it would help it from falling out.  I think they are well worth the money.  We have the giraffe and blue bear and DS preferred the bear.

  • We have one and love it! It does not come apart at all, but you can wash the whole thing in the washing machine, and to sanitize it you just hold it in a pot of boiling water (using an Ove Glove or something similar). My husband has food grade sanitizer for washing home brew bottles, so I used that instead. There have been times where I've given him just a regular soothie and he tries to grab for the animal, and now he likes to just suck on the whole thing. It also helps us at night because he is swaddled, and the animal helps weight it down on his chest so if he spits it out, sometimes it will stay in place when he wants it again.

  • DD loves her wubanub.

    1) No it doesn't come apart,I just wash the entire thing in the washer.

    2) Yes, it does get wet when DD puts it in her mouth. I haven't noticed much from drooling.

3)Yes, it is much easier for her to put the pacifier back in her mouth.

4)I love it and think it's worth the money. I actually just bought another one, on amazon some of them are cheaper than others.
