Crap...condom broke!

Has anyone had to take plan b? We had the horrible misfortune of having the condom break and I'm only 5 wks pp still no period yet but terrified of getting pregnant again! I haven't seen my doctor for our 6 week appt yet and I was wondering if anyone has taken plan b pills in a dire emergency. Will it affect my milk supply? I've googled this a bunch but looking for any advice

third, call your ob. but im sure your fine if youre exclusively bfing, i didn't get my period back with my first till 10mos post partum

From what I understand, plan b slams your hormones. I wouldn't take it.

Thanks gals. I've decided against that bf ing has just started going well and I don't want it to suffer. Fingers and toes crossed

BFing is over 99 percent reliable for a bc method if u meet certain criteria like never going longer than 6 hours, not using any formula although if u pumped I don't see why this would later etc. At 5 weeks pp I would doubt you od already, don't worry! I've gone 12 plus hours without feeding or pumping several times and still no period at 9 weeks pp. I go over 6 hours every night since week 3 now.
