Overreacting?

Hi Ladies,
I am 10w2 days, due Nov. 23rd. I had an ultrasound at 8 wks and everything looked great. The tech said that things looked really good. HR was in the 170s. Next appt is NT scan in a couple of weeks.
I feel a lot more like myself over the past few days. I never really had MS but was definitely queasy but that disappeared about a week ago. I've been really tired but that too seems to have passed.
I'm bloated, hungry all the time and my boobs are tender again, not as bad as they have been in the past.
I keep hearing about all these losses at 9 and 10 wks so I'm getting paranoid.
Should I just appreciate the fact that I am feeling better or worry that I don't feel worse?

Advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Overreacting?

  • It's normal to start to feel better around this time.  With DD, I felt great at 10w, where before I was throwing up daily.  Just remember that everyone has symptoms for varying periods of time.

  • Try to stay calm, and yes I know how hard that can be. As you move closer to the second trimester your hormones start to level out which can lead to a decrease in symptoms. Enjoy your pregnancy one day at a time.

  • Yep, what PP have said.

I went for a u/s at 10w4d and asked my doctor the same question - I was even more concerned b/c I'm having twins and keep hearing how everything should be double intense and it wasn't.  She said at this point the hormone levels are evening out and it is normal to start feeling better around 10-11 weeks. The u/s confirmed her statement as both babies were just fine! Try not to worry :)

  • Good to hear! I've been having the same thing. I'll be 10weeks tomorrow and my symptoms have eased. Mostly the tiredness, but I am also trying to get a much sleep/rest as I can with an almost 4 yr old in the house. Still have 10 more days till my next appointment. Good to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this.
